Sciatica is known as the pain in the legs. However it is actually the irritation of the sciatic nerve. This is commonly caused by bulging or herniated discs.
The disc’s inner portion is softer compared to the outer layer. If one of the outer fibers get damaged or weakened, it starts to move outward because of pressure. It will then create a bulge which is then called a hernia. This can eventually cause pain, and numbness down the legs.
