Spooky text 

In this adobe photoshop tutorial we will be making a cool spooky text effect in just a few easy steps.

First type in the text you want to add this effect to, I used a font called showcard gothic.

First in the layers panel right click the text layer and choose rasterize layer.

Now make a copy of the text layer, which we will be changing later.

So select the top text layer and now we are ready to work a bit on it.

With the smudge tool find a soft medium size brush and drag out from the text letter as you can see in the process below.

Now select the bottom text layer and we will be doing the same thing, just with a bit bigger brush and a larger intensity, so smudge it like I did below.

The final thing is to double click each text layer and add an outer glow style like I did below.

And we are done..
